innovative, and exciting tool!!!
Hot new innovative tool, developed for the
transportation of heavy oil with very high sand content from the
well bore to the production tank. The tool is installed in the
rod string, inside the tubing, and works in conjunction with a screw
pump.
One test well showed initial 85% sand, 15% heavy
oil content. Tool was installed in well on April 19/05 and
the well has been pumping continuously ever since.
The test well has shown the Spiral Rod Boxes when used
to our installation recommendations showed considerable decrease in
hydraulic torque pressure, which could also increase the running
time of the screw pump. Because of the special design of the
tool, increased up lift is keeping the heavy sand/oil mix moving,
with to date, no flushby service calls.
